# How to turn down interpolation on MacOS Remote Desktop

Open **Remote Desktop** app and click on the **settings** cogwheel and then click on **Preferences**.&#x20;

From here, you want to find where it says "**Graphics Interpolation level.**" and lower it to the level you feel comfortable at.&#x20;

If you still feel lag after this, you may also try to downscale resolutions. \
Go to the **Resolutions** tab.\
Remove anything over 1920x1080.
